Summary

The next installment in the Hades and Persephone story from bestselling author Scarlett St。 Clair。 Discover the world of New Athens and the Greek gods in a series that readers are calling "hopelessly addictive。"
"I am not sure who you think I am," she said。 "But let me be clear—I am Persephone, future Queen of the Underworld, Lady of Your Fate—may you come to dread my presence。"
Persephone and Hades are engaged。 In retaliation, Demeter summons a snowstorm that cripples New Greece, and refuses to lift the blizzard unless her daughter calls off her engagement。 When the Olympians intervene, Persephone finds her future in the hands of ancient gods, and they are divided。 Do they allow Persephone to marry Hades and go to war with Demeter, or prohibit their union and take up arms against the God of the Dead?
Nothing is certain but the promise of war。

3。5**ok, as i read each book of this series, i am hating persephone more and more。 good god, i couldn’t help but cringe and roll my eyes at everything she said and did in this book。 with that being said, these books are like crack and once i started the series, i HAD to finish it。

a comfortable read, with mostly rudimentary writing and some errors; as well as questionable story choices /hades and persephone constantly having sex, even when they should be talking about the world falling to shambles/。 it was gripping enough to read for long periods of time, but did not offer anything deeper than what the writing presents, and leaves you having very fleeting emotions about it all。 anticipating the next installment, nonetheless。

“You hold my heart in your hands, Persephone。”Al ser el tercer libro de esta saga no puedo decir nada respecto de la trama porque sería todo un grandísimo spoiler, pero sí que quiero decir que me ha encantado como este libro empezó siendo un poco más “domestic” y poco a poco han empezado a pasar más y más cosas。 La última parte es increíble tanto por los shippeos que hay (que hay muchos y muy bonitos, de los cuales yo quiero saber más) como por todo lo que afecta al desarrollo del libro。 Es que “You hold my heart in your hands, Persephone。”Al ser el tercer libro de esta saga no puedo decir nada respecto de la trama porque sería todo un grandísimo spoiler, pero sí que quiero decir que me ha encantado como este libro empezó siendo un poco más “domestic” y poco a poco han empezado a pasar más y más cosas。 La última parte es increíble tanto por los shippeos que hay (que hay muchos y muy bonitos, de los cuales yo quiero saber más) como por todo lo que afecta al desarrollo del libro。 Es que ese final es de auténtico infarto。 La última frase… brutal。 Necesito que sea ya 2023 y leer el siguiente。 Respecto a los personajes, me encanta la actitud de Persephone en este libro。 Se la ve mucho más madura y más segura y me encanta verla así。 Por su parte, Hades está increíble como siempre。 El único capítulo desde su pov en este libro me ha dejado con la boca abierta y con la necesidad de saber qué pasa porque es imposible que yo me pueda quedar así。 Otra de las cosas que más me ha gustado de este libro ha sido el conocer mucho más a otros personajes que antes se nos presentaban de una forma y que ahora, al ver de verdad como son, nos cambia completamente la perspectiva。 Ojalá Scarlett saque sus libros pronto。 En resumen, un tercer libro impresionante。 Muy muy recomendable toda la saga, de vedad。 。。。more

Absolutely painful to read。 It was impossible to enjoy with the constant and glaring red flags for both Hades and Persephone and their utter inability to coexist without screwing each other。 Had the author focused on the plot instead of putting a sex scene on every other page, it might have been okay。Did not/could not finish this book。 I tried on four separate occasions to power through but found myself rolling my eyes with each turn of the page。 I must say that I didn’t expect much from this se Absolutely painful to read。 It was impossible to enjoy with the constant and glaring red flags for both Hades and Persephone and their utter inability to coexist without screwing each other。 Had the author focused on the plot instead of putting a sex scene on every other page, it might have been okay。Did not/could not finish this book。 I tried on four separate occasions to power through but found myself rolling my eyes with each turn of the page。 I must say that I didn’t expect much from this series; but, Hades’ toxic gaslighting and controlling nature toward Persephone and her propensity become a ball of insecurities then roll over and take it because she was horny took this ridiculous-but-entertaining-smut-filled-coming-into-her-own story into a cringy-repetitive-toxic-waste of time。 。。。more

While I think the fight scenes need some work, this was AWESOME。 Hades shows a new side to him (we even get a POV chapter from him, and I love this book。 Now I just must wait a year for the next。。。Yeah, if you liked the other two books, this is worth it。

I really had a hard time getting into this - I may have overdosed by reading these three in a row - I had nearly no interest in the first part of this story but partway through the book the story picked up and then ended on such a cliffhanger I'll likely read the next book。Way to raise the stakes! A Touch of Malice is so much better than the previous two books。 There is a good balance of smut and conflict and relationships。 There is a proper plot line to the story and the ending is amazing。

this one was sooo hard to give a rating to。 I would probably give it a 3。5/4。 I will say that I think this was the weakest in the series。 I feel like this book was EXTREMELY spicy, definitely the spiciest of the 3。 But I feel like the Plot was the weakest。 I feel like the beginning was useless and could have been deleted。 If we started in the middle of the plot then that would have been the perfect 3rd book。 Even if it ended the way it did。 I will say that the ending was AMAZING, I screamed out this one was sooo hard to give a rating to。 I would probably give it a 3。5/4。 I will say that I think this was the weakest in the series。 I feel like this book was EXTREMELY spicy, definitely the spiciest of the 3。 But I feel like the Plot was the weakest。 I feel like the beginning was useless and could have been deleted。 If we started in the middle of the plot then that would have been the perfect 3rd book。 Even if it ended the way it did。 I will say that the ending was AMAZING, I screamed out loud, cheered, and cried。 Now we wait for over a year for book 4! 。。。more

I should have stopped at the first book。 The first one was enthralling, I mean, Hades and Persephone’s myth is one of my favorite, and having smut with it is even better, but it gets to a point where it’s too much, and I don’t say this lightly。 It’s in every chapter, on every few pages and at some point I just skipped those。 Every woman loves a good smut, but this is suffocating。 I’m sorry but even the cliffhanger can’t make me read the fourth book。

Christine

Sitting on the edge of my seat。I love how the author includes what she took from the myths, what she made up, at the end of the books and the "deleted scenes"。 I like seeing Persephone grow into her own over the series。 Sitting on the edge of my seat。I love how the author includes what she took from the myths, what she made up, at the end of the books and the "deleted scenes"。 I like seeing Persephone grow into her own over the series。 。。。more

My feelings on this series have been pretty mixed。 I really loved the first book, highly disliked the second book, and I put off reading this one because of it。 My feelings are mixed on this book, as well, and my rating is definitely sitting at about 3。5 immediately after reading it。 This might change。 First, one of the things that has bothered me throughout this story is Persephone’s jealousy。 I feel like, by book three, this is something the relationship should have moved beyond。 Persephone re My feelings on this series have been pretty mixed。 I really loved the first book, highly disliked the second book, and I put off reading this one because of it。 My feelings are mixed on this book, as well, and my rating is definitely sitting at about 3。5 immediately after reading it。 This might change。 First, one of the things that has bothered me throughout this story is Persephone’s jealousy。 I feel like, by book three, this is something the relationship should have moved beyond。 Persephone reads as immature and unprepared to handle a serious relationship whenever it comes up。 That said, I was pleased to see Persephone wasn’t running headlong into danger without communication, like the second book。 This was a vast improvement, in my opinion!I did find Hades to be sidelined quite a bit throughout this—and the romance between the two has been pretty stagnant since the end of the first book。 The sex scenes between them aren’t any different than what we see in the previous two books, and now read as repetitive and bland。 Scarlett does try to spice it up a bit here and there, but I didn’t sense any thrill in the characters or the writing during these moments, which left them reading as dull。However, I do appreciate that Hades’ sidelining in this gave more space for the side characters we haven’t learned much of to exist in this story。 I loved Apollo and of course, Hermes。 I might be more invested in Aphrodite and Hephaestus at this point, than I am Hades and Persephone。Up through the first two thirds of this book I would have given this four stars。 But then I started to question where the plot was going and what the plot even was。 There’s definitely a storyline of public distrust and political upheaval in the story, but much of the early parts of the book read as though the only plot was for Hades and Persephone to have their union approved by Zeus。 But at the same time, the story still seemed lost in the weeds and unsure of its direction。Don’t get me wrong, this was entertaining, as both of the previous books have been。 But this was also a lot of filler。 There’s a lot of pages here for a book that doesn’t make many drastic changes from beginning to end。 I won’t spoil the events of the book, but by the final pages, the characters are in very similar positions compared to the end of the previous/beginning of this one。 I’ve heard the Hades POV series is where this story really shines after A Touch of Darkness, so that’s what I am going to jump into next! 。。。more

I don't remember a lot of the plot。。。 I just remember the "scenes" - there were a lot! So, Hades's character definitely lacked substance in this book。 He was pretty much all sex and no depth, lol。 Depending on what you were looking for, that could have been great or annoying。 Other than that - loved it。 Just as I loved the first two。 It left on SUCH cliff hanger。。。 I don't think I can make it to 2023 for A Touch of Chaos!!!!! Was there even a plot in this book? It was so repetitive and basically nothing of substance or interest happened。

Nat

She still sucks。 I’m just so annoyed because this could be so much better if she figured out the plot and POV of both characters beforehand。 Chaotic for no reason。 🥴🥴I will still read Hades POV tho cause I’m trash。

Was not prepared for that ending。 I honestly thought this was a trilogy so I was prepared for a glorious ending not the mother of all cliff hangers。 But I still loved this book and the romance between Hades and Persephone is still fresh and exciting even after 3 books together。 Cant wait for the huge power battle about to happen in the next book

This book had a lot excitement and oh my gosh the ending!!! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book the story line, plot and twists were amazing。 However, as much as I enjoy Smut。 This was too much and literally had me rolling my eyes。 It was the same over and over。 And! It happened to frequently。 My conclusion is that Scarlett St。 Clair had to pause and think about what to write next so she just kept copying and pasting the smut scene on every other page。

Loved this book but hate how the author left us at a cliff hanger。 How am I supposed to wait a year for the next boooook ?!????????
